Opalhawaye Nyamulani commands strong commitment to social impact, actively advocating for vulnerable populations, including the elderly, women, and girls, and promotes environmental sustainability. She passionately champions the principle of equitable access to opportunities as a foundational element for fostering global progress. Currently, serving as a Lecturer in the School of Education at the University of Malawi, where she specializes in testing, measurement, evaluation, psychometrics, and quantitative psychology, and commands respect in Quantitative research. Following the completion of her initial Bachelor’s degree in Education Science, she advanced her career as a secondary school educator and examination officer before transitioning to her current academic role, subsequent to obtaining a Master’s degree in psychology and another Master’s degree in Educational Testing, Measurement, and Evaluation. She is presently pursuing a PhD in Psychometrics and Quantitative Psychology at Fordham University in New York.
He has over 10 years experience in Political Economy, International Development Cooperation particularly in the fields of Governance, Human Rights and Democracy. He worked for Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development under Dedza Town Assembly, and has worked for Civil Society Organisations. He is currently a Tutor in Diplomacy and International Relations at BirchCooper Graduate Institute in Kingdom of Eswatini. He is a regular contributor to the Times of Eswatini, The Nation and Daily Times newspapers in Malawi and Creative Angels Fashion Benefit blog in RSA. Brean Gondwe Kasawambe is currently pursuing Bachelor of Laws-Honours at the University of Malawi (UNIMA). He also studied Business Administration at University of Malawi, the Polytechnic, now known as Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS). Over the years, he has attained hands-on experience as legal intern at Blackstone Chambers, TJM & Associates, and High Court of Malawi (Civil Divison), He has successfully applied knowledge in practical and client-facing scenario as a result of carrying out legal research, drafting, providing legal opinions, and engaging in lawyer-client consultations. These have equipped him with ability to dissect complex legal principles and translate them into clear, actionable information. He has demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, accurate content for legal awareness materials, ensuring they are both informative and accessible to the public at large. His experience at JPIEGO Malawi, doing community mobilisation and sensitization meetings blends well into facilitating legal clinics and supporting legal research. He is very passionate about democratizing the law by taking it to the community and raise awareness about human rights and responsibilities for duty bearers.
Victoria Blessings Ganamba is a highly motivated, passionate and results-oriented young woman who possesses a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in advocacy, administration and practical knowledge of public policies. These were gained through active participation, mentorship and internships in local public institutions, Non-Governmental Organisations both local and International such as Chikwawa District council, Electricity Generation Company of Malawi, Save the Children as well as Civil Liberties Advocacy. She was assigned key supporting roles in specific departments of Human Resource, Administration as well as Registry where she demonstrated strength in record management, processing cheque requisitions and taking meeting minutes. Active participation and advocacy engagements in child rights, youth empowerment and environmental activism, over the years, have deepened and sharpened her skills in leadership, public speaking, team working, general and interpersonal communication. These are fruits of undertaking and serving in different roles such as Speaker of Children parliament, vice chairperson of Children Advisory Group of Save the Children and vice chairperson of Civil Liberties Advocacy. Taking up challenges such as environmental campaigns and competitions like Woman up challenge and fourteen days of environmental activism have further straightened and complemented her pursuits to seek social change and grabbing new opportunities to continue growing more professional and competent. She is currently pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration at the University of Malawi.
Chisomo Njewa has been Coordinator of "Philanthropy" from 2013 through his concept of "changing our communities using Social Media." Among other achievements, he has worked with communities in Jali Zomba by instituting groups of women to develop Medicinal Plants Green Houses with support from Canada. He has also championed the development of the Mchinji Reafforestation Trust Fund. Chisomo has facilitated the construction of a School in Chiuno Village in Kasungu with support from Yoow.ev German. He has worked with young people in schools on tuition and education materials support to needy students (Tuition Secondary Students and Laptops University Students). Recently he has been working on providing Mobility Support to people with disabilities in Machinga, Mbando Village. He studied Accounting at the Malawi College of Accountancy, Monitoring and Evaluation at The Catholic University of Malawi, and currently studying International Relations and Diplomacy at Riara University (Kenya).
Caroline is a social worker with great interest in multisectoral development especially in matters to do with administration, governance and human rights, equality, violence, child development and health. She is very experienced in working with the youth, adolescent mothers, women and older persons in the private sector. She holds a bachelor's degree in Social work (minor in special needs education) obtained from the Catholic university of Malawi in 2019. She aspires to work with both public and private institutions in Malawi on projects that promote and protect the rights of vulnerable groups, promote community and sustainable development in both rural and urban communities.
